step one is i just take a thicker brush with lower opacity maybe like 40% and sketch him out. once I have a bunch of blobs of paint down with the shape of him, i go back with a thintip brush and draw in the details. then paint over those.

For sure! I will make an attempt doing my own Link, and I will let you know when I have that up so you can see what I learned from you. Not sure when that will happen in my schedule. Been forever since I posted anything, but I will try and let you know. I had a crazy idea of taking Link out of his realm and painting him as a Gladiator in an arena. May be too confusing or far stretched to pull off, but we will see.

do it, fill the arena with moblins, skeletons, and the lizard guys.
