Dark & Day: Caer Midus

The sun was a quarter arch above the horizon when towering spires jutted the air. The griffin weaved around the towers and the sight of the republic of Day made Aquinas laugh with joy.

Banners and flags that hung and fluttered in the wind were blue with gold trim, symbolizing the sky and the sun. Upon them was the crest that united the republics of Sola. It was the seraph Shiva, in the form of a white dove, crowned with light and spreading her six wings.

On the wave of hills that rolled before the towering Epoch mountains rested a glistening castle that spread into a village below it. Open green fields mixed with the golden stone buildings and courtyards of the great golden castle.

Caer Midus is the capital of the Day End of Earth and home to the Sage of Ages [link]

Nice piece! Textures could be improved, but the composition is great and makes this pic! Nonetheless - textures would give more realism and the whole work would profit...
Hope you aren't disturbed by critique, but I think, there are more than enough senseless comments like 'wow' 'great' and so on out there - those doesn't an artist help to become better I guess. So don't feel harmed please!

yeah thanks I know what you mean i appreciate your feedback. Sometimes though I tried to avoid using photo textures and just make a painting by hand and try to incorporate more personal style.
